Let us work with you to keep healthcare affordable and hassle-free

At Tri Valley Health System, we want your experience with us to be smooth and trouble-free. That’s why work with you and your insurance company to get you the best care, coverage and service possible.

Below is information on our billing and insurance procedures. Please take a moment to review them.

Insurance information

Bring insurance information each time you visit Tri Valley

To simplify registration, you will be asked to provide current insurance information on each visit to Tri Valley Health System. You will also be asked to verify any changes to your name, address or phone number on all of your visits to Tri Valley Health System.

Payment Options

We can help keep healthcare affordable with time payment options

We understand healthcare can put a strain on your budget, and at Tri Valley, we want to do everything we can to help. After your insurance company processes your accounts, you will receive a statement from Tri Valley Health System detailing any unpaid balance. You will then have 30 days to pay your account in full or set up a time payment plan account.

Your payment amount will be based on your account balance. Depending on what that amount is, your payments will be calculated over a 12-month or 24-month period. You will receive a statement each month reflecting the current balance with a section to tear off and send in with your payment.

If you are experiencing a financial hardship, talk to us. You can discuss your situation with our Patient Accounting Office and we will do very our best to make payment arrangements that are acceptable to both you and Tri Valley. Each situation is reviewed on an individual basis and kept completely confidential.

For more information, contact the Patient Accounting Office at 308-697-3155 or 800-335-9898. You are also welcome to stop by the office at 702 Patterson Street in downtown Cambridge. Address correspondence to: Patient Accounting Office, Tri Valley Health System, P.O. Box 488, Cambridge, NE 69022.

Billing

Let us help with billing your insurance company

Once you have provided Tri Valley Health System with current insurance information, we will bill all insurance claims on your behalf. Remember, however, that your insurance policy coverage is a contract between you and your insurance carrier, so the ultimate responsibility for payment rests with you.

Insurance copayments and deductibles are due at the time of service. If you are unable to make payment in full at the time of service, please notify the receptionist prior to your appointment. You will be referred to the business office so other payment arrangements can be made.

Payments may be made by cash, check, Visa or MasterCard.

Advance directive

Take the time to decide healthcare issues in advance

It is easier to accomplish healthcare decisions when a person is well and can speak for themselves. However, severe illness or injury can leave a person unable to communicate their wishes. In situations such as these, advance directives are invaluable to the person, their family and the medical team.

An advance directive is a written statement that documents your healthcare decisions or appoints another person to make decisions on your behalf. Advance directives include Living Wills and Durable Power Attorney for Health Care.

Tri Valley Health System honors your wishes and works with you and your physician to make sure the directives are followed. For more information, contact your attorney or the Social Work Department at Tri Valley Health System.
