Surgery Services

Modern equipment, skilled professionals allow surgery without lengthy travel

If you need a surgical procedure, it just makes sense to have it done close to home, where you’re comfortable and where family and friends can offer support. At Cambridge Memorial Hospital, visiting specialists provide a wide range of surgical procedures, including general, orthopedic, ear-nose-throat, urological, pediatric and OB/GYN. Our own local physicians, Dr. Lennie Deaver and Dr. Shelly Kaspar-Cope, also do surgeries, including C sections.

In response to an increasing number of surgeries, Tri Valley Health System is continuing to invest in new surgical equipment. Recent additions include a top-of-the-line anesthesia machine, a digital X-ray C-Arm and a state-of-the-art sterile processing system.

“We have added to the surgical services we offer to include orthopedic surgeries and laproscopic removal of the appendix," said Susan Huxoll, R.N., the surgery coordinator for Tri Valley Health System. "The new equipment has been a great benefit, and we are committed to offering the latest and best in surgical care."

The surgery support team at Cambridge Memorial Hospital consists of Susan Huxoll; Judy Hayes, R.N.; Jennifer Shoemaker, LPN-C; and Renee Wright, ST. The hospital provides 24-hour anesthesia service.

About our Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetists

Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetists (CRNAs) are master’s prepared advanced- practice nurses who provide anesthetics to patients in every practice setting, and for every type of surgery or procedure.  They are the sole anesthesia providers in two-thirds of all rural hospitals, and the main provider of anesthesia to expectant mothers.

Tri Valley Health System is privileged to have three CRNAs on staff, Connie Hill, Josh Hill and Darrell Milhon.
