Onsite laboratory
gets results back fast
There was a time when “getting the results back from the
lab” could mean a long and tedious – sometimes fearful – wait. But for many
routine samples and cultures, the specialists at the
Tri
Valley lab do the work here in Cambridge and get the
answers to you fast.
Patients at Tri Valley Health System are in good hands
when they use laboratory services. The four members of the lab staff have a
combined total of 100 years of service to Tri Valley Health System. The
staff includes two Medical Technologists: Jim Jackson, the lab supervisor,
and Terry Fichtner. The other members of the lab team are Medical Laboratory
Technicians Vesta Whipple and Gwen Hilker,.
"We can process a full range of tests at our on-site
laboratory," Jim says. "Our staff is here to help you every step of the way,
from explaining testing procedures to performing the tests as painlessly as
possible."
Lab hours
The lab is open from 6 a.m. to 6
p.m. Monday through Friday. Blood draws begin at 7:30 a.m. Emergency lab
service is available 24-7.
Services
The services of the lab include blood
draws for complete blood counts and lipid profiles for cholesterol,
triglycerides, HDL, LDL and glucose. The lab also provides transfusion
services 24 hours a day.
