Doctors,
PAs...friends and neighbors
The team of physicians and physician assistants at Tri
Valley Health System are Nebraska born, Nebraska raised and Nebraska trained. Their roots are important,
because your medical care providers share the values which shape the way of
life in this area.
Staff physicians are Dr. Lennie Deaver, a native of
Dalton,
Nebraska, and Dr. Rachelle Kaspar-Cope, who grew
up in Crete, Nebraska. They are joined by four Certified
Physician Assistants (PA-C), Paul Shellabarger, who grew up in Grant, Bill
Malchow, who was reared in an around Beatrice, and Kyleen Klinkebiel, a
native of Ponca, and Jim Allen who spent his childhood in Alliance,
Nebraska.
The Tri
Valley
medical staff's training is diverse and comprehensive, including pediatrics,
surgery, internal medicine, obstetrics, gynecology and community medicine.
Together, the physicians and physician assistants at Tri Valley Health
System have more than 45 years of postgraduate education and training and
offer more than 120 years of experience in the medical field.

Dr. Rachelle Kaspar-Cope, MD
Dr, Kaspar-Cope completed her
undergraduate work at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln, and then
entered the University of Nebraska Medical Center, where she earned
her M.D. in 1993. Dr. Kaspar-Cope is board certified in Family
Medicine and has been since 1996 upon completion of her residency
training in the Primary Care Program. Dr. Kaspar-Cope is a member of
the Regional Head Start Medical Advisory Board and has served as
Associate Medical Director for the Good Samaritan Hospice Board. Her
husband, Dean Cope, is a dentist practicing in
Cambridge and Beaver
City. They have three children, Seth,
Elisabeth and Sarah. Her hobbies include reading, cooking and water
skiing.

Dr.
Lennie Deaver, MD
Dr. Deaver attended the University of
Nebraska-Lincoln, where he received his Bachelor of Science degree
in 1980. He went on to attend the University of Nebraska Medical
Center in
Omaha, where he received his M.D. in 1984 and completed
his residency at the University Hospital
in Omaha
in 1987.
Dr.Deaver has been with Tri Valley
Health System since 1987 as a family practice provider. Dr. Deaver
is Medical Director for the Cambridge, Wilsonville and
Hendley EMT Services. He is also a neonatal resuscitation
instructor. Dr. Deaver provides OB/GYN services and is very involved
with Nuclear Medicine in conjunction with
Bryan
LGH Hospital.
Dr. Deaver's wife, Joyce, is the Administrator
at Cambridge Manor. The Deavers stay busy enjoying the activities of
their five children and spoiling their two granddaughters. When time
allows, Dr. Deaver is an avid hunter and outdoor enthusiast. Dr.
Deaver is currently Chief of Staff

Kyleen Klinkebiel, PA-C
Kyleen completed her undergraduate work at the University of Nebraska
at Kearney in 2005 and was awarded
her Master of Physician Studies (MPAS) degree from the University of
Nebraska Medical Center in
Omaha in 2007. We are pleased that she chose Tri Valley Health System medical staff as her first career
posting.
Kyleen and her husband Kyle live on a farm north
of Cambridge.
Her hobbies include cooking, traveling and outdoor activities.

Bill Malchow, PA-C
Mr. Malchow joined Tri Valley Health System
in 1992. Prior to that he worked as a PA in
Geneva,
Nebraska.
He has specialized as a family practice Physician Assistant since
1988 when he received his degree from the University of Nebraska
Medical Center.
Mr. Malchow has continued his studies, receiving the Master of
Physician Assistant Studies (MPAS) from the University of Nebraska
Medical Center in 2002.
Bill enjoys all aspects
of family medicine, in particular health and wellness care and
disease prevention. He is a member of the American and
Nebraska
Academies
of Physician Assistants, and the National Strength and Conditioning
Association. Bill enjoys landscaping, gardening and sports. He lives
just outside Cambridge
with his wife, Deb. They have two children; Doug who is in college
and Lisa a senior at Cambridge High School.

Paul Shellabarger, PA-C
Following graduation from Perkins County
High School in Grant, Mr.
Shellabarger attended Chadron State College. From there, he went to Omaha to attend the
Physician Assistant's program at the University of Nebraska Medical
Center. He has been employed by Tri Valley Health System since 1976
and has been board certified since 1977.
Mr. Shellabarger was the Nebraska PA
of the Year in 1994 and again in 1999. He was the recipient of the
Caring Kind Award in 1993. Paul is active in the Nebraska Academy of
Physician Assistants, having served as a board member and president.
He is active in church activities and an instructor of Advanced
Cardiac Life Support. Paul's wife, Shelly, recently retired after 20
years of working at Tri Valley Health System. They have two
children, Cody and Katie, and two grandchildren, Ashlyn and Kirstyn.
Paul's hobbies include HO trains, remodeling,
home construction and travel.

Jim Allen, PA-C
Jim Allen, PA-C sees patients to help with current staffing
flexibility and patient convenience. Allen, an Alliance, Nebraska
native, attended Chadron State College and then graduated from UNMC
in 1997. Jim Allen PA-C has been a member of the Nebraska National
Guard since 2003 and has a high interest in Orthopedics, having also
worked in Orthopedic Surgery for 3 years. Allen and his wife
Jennifer have three children, Deon, Kylie, and Jillian. Tri Valley
Health System, CEO Roger Steinkruger states “we are pleased to have
Jim join our medical staff, and his Orthopedic experience will truly
add to our system as we move forward in our new
facility.”
